Colon Hydrotherapy
Colon hydrotherapy is the gentle infusion of pure filtered water to the colon for the purpose of cleansing the colon and the body. Sessions consist of alternating water infusion with releasing so that the body can rid itself of old waste and toxins. We will take our time so that you can relax and concentrate on cleansing. You will be offered aromatherapy and an infrared lamp for the abdomen. Your therapist will be with you during the session and will control the water pressure and water temperature and will assist with abdominal massage and positional changes to facilitate release. We know you will find the experience relaxing and rejuvenating.

Some people believe colon therapy is only for people who are constipated. We can assure you that many people who are not chronically constipated have derived great benefits from colon hydrotherapy. At LifeSpring Wellness we use the Dotolo Toxigen equipment for colon hydrotherapy. It is a class II FDA approved device. The Toxigen is commonly referred to as the "closed" system. This simply means that the waste is totally contained, passing to the sewer drain directly from the tubing. This also means that your practitioner will stay with you during your session and will not leave you alone. Our tubing and speculums are all disposable, and used only once. We use speculums and tubing that is designed to prevent any mucosal damage to the intestinal wall. And we stay informed on the latest techniques to assure that our therapy complies with the most recent safety practices. Research has indicated the Toxigen to be safe and effective for colon cleansing. A recent study demonstrated that colon hydrotherapy via the Toxigen is a very effective preparation for a colonoscopy.
